This is our standard disclaimer for all races:
I know that running or walking in a road is a ptentially dangerous activity.
I should not enter or run/walk unless I am physically able and properly trained.
I agree to abide by any decision of a race official on whether I am able to
safely complete the run. I assume all risks associated with running or walking
in this event including but not limited to: falls, contact with other participants,
the effects of the weather, including heat, humidity, wet, cold, traffic, road
or terrain conditions, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. Having read
over this waiver and knowing these facts and in consideration of your accepting
my entry I, for myself, and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release
the Event, the New Braunfels Running Club, the race director, the City of New Braunfels, all
sponsors and volunteers, and their representatives and successors from all claims
and liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event even
though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of
the persons named in this waiver. I grant permission to all the foregoing to use
my photograph, recordings or videotape or any other record of this event for a
legitimate purpose.
